West Brom - Chelsea Prediction, Picks and Taips

West Bromwich Albion is still waiting for the first points after two league games. In the second home game at The Hawthorns, West Bromwich Albion hopes to finally achieve success, but with Chelsea a top club is coming to visit.

West Bromwich Albion is at the bottom of the Premier League. After two games, Slaven Bilic's team has zero points and a goal difference of -6. The PhD candidate started the Premier League two weeks ago with a 0-3 defeat to The Hawthorns against Leicester City. Last weekend, Bilic and his men had to accept another defeat: Everton was 5-2 too strong for The Baggies at Goodison Park. Especially for Bilic himself and his defender Kieran Gibbs it was a match to forget, as they were both sent off the field early. In the tournament for the Carabao Cup, West Bromwich Albion also had little success this week. On Tuesday evening, Championship club Brentford visited The Hawthorns and West Bromwich Albion was eliminated by the former competitor after penalties. The game in regular time ended in a 2-2 draw, after which West Bromwich Albion was not clean enough from eleven meters. Branislav Ivanovic made his debut against Brentford and for the 36-year-old Serb the duel with Chelsea will be even more special. Ivanovic was under contract with the London club for no less than nine years between 2008 and 2017 and will therefore play against his former boss on Saturday evening.

At Chelsea, they didn't start the Premier League season as they hoped. The Blues managed to beat Brighton & Hove Albion (1-3) in their first league game. Last weekend, Frank Lampard's side suffered a 0-2 defeat when Liverpool came to visit West London. At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga again made a huge mistake and that cost Chelsea again points. With Edouard Mendy, Chelsea presented a replacement for Kepa on Thursday, although the Senegalese is still awaiting a negative corona test. Chances are that Willy Caballero will be taken off again against West Bromwich Albion. The 38-year-old Argentinian also scored midweek during Chelsea's Carabao Cup match against Barnsley. In that game, Thiago Silva made his debut on behalf of the West Londoners, but most of the attention went to Kai Havertz. Havertz scored his first three goals in the Chelsea shirt against the low flyer from the Championship. In the game with West Bromwich Albion, Havertz is expected from Chelsea together with newcomers Timo Werner, Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell. Hakim Ziyech is still missing from Lampard's team, but the Moroccan playmaker is expected back next week.
