Valencia – Betis, Picks and Tips

March 19 was the last time the bats won a game. Almost two months have passed since then and no less than six Primera Division rounds without success (two defeats and four draws). In the last two rounds, Jose Bordalas's pupils got a point each from the duels vs Levante (1-1) and Athletic Bilbao (0-0). The Mestalla club have picked up a red card in each of those matches. After playing 35 games this season, Valencia is in mid-table in LaLiga, in 10th position. With 44 points so far, Tuesday night's hosts can only hope to move up one place in the Spanish pecking order.

Goalkeeper Carlos Bravo was injured in the match against his former team Barcelona. The Chilean veteran will be replaced by Portuguese Rui Silva. Montoya, Camarasa and Bellerin are the other players with medical problems in the 'green and white' squad. Manuel Pellegrini will not make many changes to the usual formula used recently. The defence remains the same. Guardado and Rodriguez will play up front, while William Carvalho remains as a reserve. Borja Iglesias continues to be preferred in the centre forward position. The Spaniard will be supported by a trio of Sergio Canales, Nabil Fekir and Juanmi. On the other side, the "white-green" have four consecutive rounds in LaLiga without success. At the weekend, Sevilla were beaten 1-2 at home by Barcelona. However, Manuel Pellegrini's boys have managed to win a trophy during this bad period in the Primera Division: Copa del Rey, after winning the final vs Valencia on penalties. Real Betis is in 5th place with three rounds to go. They are six points behind Atletico Madrid in fourth.
