Stuttgart - Bayern Munich Prediction, Picks and Tips

The professionals at FC Bayern Munich are currently really not to be envied. Every three days, the stars have to hold out their bones for either their country or their club. Recreation? Nothing! Sufficient regeneration? Nothing! Detailed preparation for the next opponent? Nothing! So it's no wonder that several experts are already fearful of one or two setbacks for the troubled record champions in the coming weeks. The extremely high load of the past few days must definitely be taken into account before we make a suitable forecast for the game on Saturday afternoon between VfB Stuttgart and Bavaria. Less than 72 hours after the exhausting Champions League home game against RB Salzburg, the confident climber from Swabia will certainly demand a lot from the favorite. Despite the outstanding successes and the breathtaking record record under Hansi Flick, we are no friend of making decisions based on past achievements. The Munich team from the Champions League final tournament in the summer can no longer be compared with the team that struggled to a 1-1 draw against Bremen the previous week and also revealed major problems against the Austrian champions during the week.

VfB Stuttgart is one of the positive surprises in the Bundesliga after the first third of the season. Not many would have thought the newcomer in the upper house had such a good start. The currently almost exclusively positive reporting at VfB is based on two success factors. On the one hand, the results are correct, on the other hand, the offensive and quite courageous style of play also brings joy to many fans. The fact that a certain momentum has developed in the last few weeks became clear in the previous week, when Stuttgart was unlucky 2: 3 behind in the south derby at TSG Hoffenheim until stoppage time and thanks to Marc-Oliver Kempf still in literally at the last second to equalize 3: 3. Incidentally, the run of seven undefeated games continued in a row. The downside of the coin is the fact that the last four matches have all ended in a draw. At the same time, it is also interesting that the newcomer has scored at least once in all games and the only defeat on the first matchday came with only one goal difference. The Swabians are therefore at a good Bundesliga level, are in eighth place and will of course put everything in at the weekend to annoy the reigning champions. The only downer of the so far very decent season is the home record. None of the four matches in their own stadium were made victorious. Should there be no victory again on Saturday, the Matarazzo-Elf would set the club's own negative record from the 1994/95 season, when there was also no three-point in the first five home games. So between VfB Stuttgart and Bayern we would be cautious with a prediction of the home win, but we definitely trust the promoted team to keep the match exciting. Even in attack, a lot can be expected from the strong offensive (16 goals in eight games), although Gonzalez, probably the best individualist, will be injured. The Argentine international joins Al Ghaddioui, Awoudja, Cissé, Mola and Thommy in the packed hospital.

Manuel Neuer is the best goalkeeper in the world. Everyone who claims otherwise has not really followed the last two competitive games of the triple winner from the Bavarian capital. In both the 1-1 draw against Werder Bremen and the lucky 3-1 win against RB Salzburg, the national goalkeeper advanced to the match winner and left the opposing attackers desperate with world-class parades. The fact that the captain has to deliver heroic deeds almost regularly these days and weeks is, however, also an indication that the record champions' defense is anything but stable at the moment. Only in two of the previous eight games in the Bundesliga, Munich could keep the zero. The twelve goals conceded are the highest value at this point in more than eight years. At that time, a certain Jürgen Klinsmann was still the coach of FCB. The vulnerable defense is by far not the only problem that the Champions League winner has to struggle with. The heavy workload of the tightly timed schedule has also left its mark on the staff. With Davies and Kimmich, only two regular players are out on paper, but these two are particularly painful in their positions. Especially the mentality and the will to win of Joshua Kimmich could hardly replace Bayern recently. Although statistically everything still speaks for a success of the favorite, we have legitimate doubts whether a potential three-point of the front-runner in the Bundesliga table will fail with more than one goal difference. The Flick-Elf could only win three of the previous eight matches with a handicap (-1.5). A bigger rotation will probably not happen because the coach wants to avoid another slip, which would probably mean losing the table.
