Strasbourg – PSG, Picks and Tips

The Alsatians have enjoyed a fabulous run of 11 straight games without defeat in Ligue 1. That run was broken last weekend at the home of last season's champions Lille. "Les Dogues" won that game 1-0 after a goal by Zeki Celik in the 87th minute. Previously, Julien Stephan's side had beaten Lens (1-0) and Rennes (2-1) respectively and had drawn with Lyon and Troyes (each time 1-1). After 34 rounds, Strasbourg are sixth in the table. It is just one point away from Nice in fifth place and three points away from the last step of the podium, which leads to the UEFA Champions League preliminaries.

Paris Saint-Germain, on the other hand, have mathematically secured their title this season after a 1-1 draw with Lens at the Parc des Princes. Mauricio Pochettino's boys are 13 points clear at the top of the French standings with just four games remaining. Prior to that draw with the "yellow-reds", the Parisians had a run of four consecutive wins in Ligue 1, in which they scored no less than 16 goals: 5-1 vs Lorient, 6-1 vs Clermont, 2-1 vs Marseille and 3-0 vs Angers. On the other side, the Argentine coach can afford the luxury to rotate players and give other players a chance to get minutes at the end of the season. However, there are some injury problems. Draxler, Paredes, Kurzawa and Diallo won't be able to play for the Ligue 1 champions this time around either. Dagba and Kehrer are expected to be introduced in defence. In midfield, Danilo Pereira will pair up with Georgiio Wijnaldum in front of the back line. Young Xavi Simons could also be forced on. However, the offense will not get the same treatment. Mbappe, Messi, Neymar and Di Maria have one of the last chances to impress this season.
