RWDM shot off the starting blocks against Seraing. After only twenty minutes it was already 2-0 ahead against the current leader. Nicolas Rommens calmly scored a penalty and Leonardo Miramar Rocha, last season's top scorer, also scored his goal. Of course they faced a certain Georges Mikautadze, who actually cannot play a match without scoring. Moments later it was 2-3 again, with two more goals from the latter.

However, things looked rosy for RWDM early in the second half. Wagane Faye stupidly picked up his second yellow card and on top of that gave away another penalty. Rommens scored his second of the evening and tied RWDM: 3-3. RWDM actually had every chance to decide this match against ten men. Antoine Bernier, however, managed to make 3-4 on a thief, and RWDM was unable to recover. Zero points and a sour feeling after the game for the home team.


 
 
 
 

Tom Van Imschoot's young Belgian team had virtually no chance against an already strong Union. After they had dropped a stitch against RWDM last week, they were able to convince again this weekend with their impressive counter football. The young boys of Lierse did not know what to do with the experience and the class that Union had brought from Brussels, and lost quite a chance 0-2.

If the RWDM wants to surprise, Van Imschoot will have to play his well-known game to the full: high pressure, fast passing over the ground, moving without the ball, selfless, wanting to work for the team ... If he throws these basic ingredients back into the stew, I am I am convinced that he can achieve a good result against this RWDM. There are possibilities, certainly at the back is RWDM, but then Lierse must dare to play, and that may be the biggest problem at the moment. At home, Lierse did win 4-2 against RWDM, which should give a boost to also grab points on the move.
