Marseille have two goals at the end of the season - to reach the final of the Europa Conference League and to stay in second place in Ligue 1 after the last round. It is on track for both. The hosts overturned the result in the last quarter of an hour thanks to goals from Shaqiri and Dembele. The former is now out of the squad. Besides, OM's complex against Lyon when they play away is notorious. Marseille have not won since 11 September 2007, when Mamadou Niang scored a 2-1 double. Lyon scored Juninho. However, OM have beaten Lyon at the Velodrome before. It last did so on 10 September 2019, a 2-1 win. Payet's "double" made the difference. The last Marseille - Lyon at the "Velodrome", the one in the return leg of the previous season, ended 1-1. Toko Ekambi opened the scoring and Milik, from the spot, equalised before half-time. Olympique Marseille have just one win over Lyon in their last 16 direct meetings.
