Lazio - Atalanta Prediction, Picks and Taips

Last Sunday there was already a nice poster on the program with Roma-Juventus in the Serie A and during the week we can again enjoy two Italian top teams. Atalanta, the number three of last season, takes on Lazio, the number four of last season.

Lazio kicked off the season on Saturday with an away match at Cagliari and lived up to expectations. The first chance of the match was immediately hit. Adam Marusic outsmarted two defenders and gave a measured cross to Manuel Lazzari, who then simply scored the 0-1. Lazio should have extended the lead even before half-time. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic shot from close range at the goalkeeper of Cagliari after which the falling ball was passed. This ball was headed to the post by Joaquin Correa, after which Ciro Immobile shot hard from four meters. All these missed opportunities ultimately did not cost the biancocelesti dear. Fifteen minutes before the end, Immobile decided the game with a slider in the corner, again Marusic's assist came. Trainer Simone Inzaghi drafted eleven well-known names but did leave a few newcomers in. Gonzalo Escalante, who was taken over from Eibar, and Jean Akpa Akpro, who was taken over from Serie B from Serie B, made his first minutes in the fluorescent green away shirt. In addition, only a medical examination stands in the way of Wesley Hoedt's transfer to his old club and Lazio is also still in the market for Juan Mata and Andreas Pereira of Manchester United.

Atalanta has had a spectacular season in which it scored a record number of goals and almost every game was attractive to watch. In the first game of the new season, this line was continued. Again we saw that the team from Bergamo is un-Italian, it cannot play on the zero but can always score more than the opponent. While visiting Torino, it already swallowed two hits from Andrea Belotti in the first half, but managed to score no less than three times in half an hour. Alejandro 'Papu' Gomez was voted the best midfielder in Serie A last season and showed why for all three goals. He shot the first himself from twenty meters, he provided the assist for Luis Muriel and Hans Hateboer's goals. In the second half, Marten de Roon made the decision, on a pass from Muriel, he made it 2-4. Just like Inzaghi, Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini also started in his first game with eleven famous names. He also had two acquisitions come in in the second half, both Johan Mojica (Elche) and Sam Lammers (PSV) came in five minutes before time.
