Last season, Kayserispor would actually have been relegated from the Süper Lig as bottom of the table. Because the Turkish Football Association increased the league to 21 teams, the relegation of "Anadolu Yildizi" was at least realized at the green table. In the new season, however, the usual picture can be seen again, because after eight match days Kayserispor occupies one of four relegation places.

The debut of the new coach, Samet Aybaba, saw a surprising point win against Turkish record champions Galatasaray last week. Although the tables 18. the Süper Lig played outnumbered, after a passionate performance in the final phase they fought for the equalizer.
 
In eight games, Kayserispor has a record of 2-1-5 with a goal difference of 5:11. The end in the Türkiye Kupasi will be manageable, especially since the season in the Turkish House of Lords has been going well so far. On Monday evening, Can in Kayseri will have to do without six players, including the two central defenders Roco and Zukanovic. Changes in the starting XI cannot be ruled out.
