Club Brugge KV U23 - St. Gilloise Prediction, Picks and Taips

Union is currently the favorite to promote, but the season is still a long time and we know that things like that can change quickly. For example, how quickly do the youngsters of Club Brugge adapt? They will have to be very sharp against Union!

At Club Next they were very happy with the draw against Lommel. After a dry 2-0 loss on the field of RWD Molenbeek, expectations had dropped somewhat, but against Lommel the young team showed that they can play football. Although, they already showed that to RWDM! Only then it came out a bit less and quite a few opportunities were left unused. Not that this went so much better in the second game, because if they had really been efficient, they would have easily won this game. However, it took a long time before they could get a first (and immediately a second) goal. The two boys who proudly and full of ambition gave the post-match interview last week, together took care of the first goal: Arne Engels and Thomas Van den Keybus. Nice to see you how they put their words into action. Too bad for them, Manfred Ugalde scored a late equalizer, otherwise the roof would have been completely off!

Union simply remains the favorite for the title, especially if Westerlo continues to miss points as they do now for two consecutive days. Together with the Kemphanen, Union is the only team that has a chance of promotion to the Jupiler Pro League, although you never know of course. In 1B everyone plays exactly for promotion and everyone fights against relegation, although it will be a bit more difficult with the new system than before. After all, the general classification now applies after 28 match days. Union was clearly the better team against Westerlo last match day. Too bad for them they could not find their way to the goal. Although, they could do that once, but that goal was rejected. During the international break, Union lashed out strongly against former 1B member Beerschot, which now shows off at the top of the Jupiler Pro League. The exhibition game ended no less than 0-4, with two goals from Dante Vanzeir against his ex-team. So he seems ready to shine again in this competition!
