Breda - Helmond Prediction, Picks and Tips

After the first round of the Keuken Kampioen Division, it is difficult to draw conclusions, but NAC seems to be rightly one of the biggest title favorites. The Breda club will face Helmond Sport on Friday evening, who also made a strong impression in their first game.

NAC Breda is ready to promote directly to the Eredivisie. The team came last year looked at the quality simply too short to prevent degradation. That the club is actually too big for the Kitchen Champion Division proved once again earlier this week. NAC sells more seasonal tickets than three-quarters of the premier league clubs, while the team has descended to the first division. There is great pressure to promote. NEC had the same in mind last season, but failed hopelessly. The Breda club convinced last weekend during the season opening in an away game against FC Dordrecht. NAC started the match enormously and a goal was soon in the air. It was Arno Verschueren who headed in a cross from Andrija Filipovic in the middle of the first half, breaking the spell. Nick Olij kept his goal clean with some good saves after the break, after which Luka Ilic shot the visitors to a comfortable 2-0 win with an individual action.

Last season was a dramatic one for Helmond Sport. Only four times were won and from the previous season an unprecedented negative series of non-profit competitions. This season Wil Boessen stands for the group, which last year surprised them enormously with FC Den Bosch during the first half of the season. The Helmonders, together with Guus Joppen and Ferry de Regt, managed to bring in two experienced forces transfer-free and it also picked up talented players at amateur clubs, such as Sander Vereijken, who came over from Gemert. Helmond Sport opened the season with a away game against FC Volendam. The team immediately showed that a lot has changed in terms of attitude compared to last season. Trainer Boessen saw how his players showed karatker and played with the knife between the teeth. Dean Koolhof gave Helmond Sport the lead just after the break, but due to the hard work, the fatigue crept in more and more. FC Volendam came alongside through an incorrectly awarded penalty kick and the Helmonders held their ground in the final phase after a red card for the Regt.
