Nevertheless, the home game against the Thrylos from Piraeus is the first acid test for Akis Mantzios' protégés. After all, the Saturday opponent is the measure of all things in Greece. Across all competitions, there has only been one defeat for Aris in this competitive season. However, that bankruptcy ensured that the yellow-blacks had to cancel the qualification for the Europa League.

Since then, however, "Akis", a new head coach, has taken over the reins of the Kitrinomavroi.
