Sheffield Wed - QPR Prediction, Picks and Taips
In the last four matches between Sheffield Wednesday and Queens Park Rangers, the game was won by the visiting party. Will QPR take all the money at the end of the Championship?
After a promising start, Sheffield Wednesday was put with both feet on the ground last weekend. The formation of Garry Monk is in the process of getting rid of a -12 point penalty and started excellent with four points from the first two matches. The first defeat of the season was suffered on a visit to Bristol City. In the first half, Sheffield Wednesday had several opportunities to score. In the second half, The Robins scored twice. As The Owls did not convert their chances into goals, the game ended in a 2-0 loss.
Wednesday has welcomed Callum Paterson. The striker has been taken over from Cardiff City on a free transfer and has signed a contract with The Owls until mid-2022. Monk did not say whether Paterson will make his debut for Wednesday on Saturday. At least Alex Hunt is back. The 20-year-old midfielder had to miss a few games due to a knee injury.
Garry Monk sees a strong mentality with his team this season: “We have a team that is ready to give it everything. We are mentally stronger than last season. If you perform poorly and don't recover, you lose confidence. On Saturday afternoon I want to see an aggressive team, both offensive and defensive. We will have to be energetic against Queens Park Rangers. ”
Within half an hour Queens Park Rangers and Middlesbrough reached the final score of their game last Saturday afternoon. QPR fell behind in the nineteenth minute, but managed to get alongside with a goal from Bright Osayi-Samuel. The left winger scored from the rebound of a shot by Luke Amos. Both teams had a few more chances of victory in the remainder of the match, but had to settle for a draw.
Mark Warburton left Ryan Manning and Joe Lumley out of the squad. Lumley was the first goalkeeper and Manning also regularly makes minutes at The R's. The reason for this is that their contracts expire this summer and it doesn't seem like Manning and Lumley will renew in London for the time being. Warburton therefore decided to target Seny Dieng. At the back left, 33-year-old Lee Wallace started.
Queens Park Rangers appears to be adding Chris Willock to the roster. The English left winger is currently under contract with Benfica and comes from Arsenal's training. Last season, Willock played on loan for Huddersfield Town. There is also interest in Macauley Bonne. The Charlton Athletic striker is followed by several teams from the Championship, but QPR seems to have the best chance of the striker of fellow townsman Charlton.
