Seraing had an unlikely start to the season. A player who scores four goals in a match, standing first, scoring eight goals ... These are great numbers, but can they also prove themselves against Westerlo, one of the favorites for promotion to the Jupiler Pro League?
 
 
 


 
 


You can say what you want from Seraing, but not that they don't bring a spectacle. Thirteen goals in two games, you don't see that very often. And if you also win them both, you actually have no reason to complain, but you can be happy that you were able to watch such matches and that your team takes the three points home. The supporters could not wish for much more, although ... A victory against the Ruff would put Seraing in ecstasy!



The game was good against Deinze, especially the second half. Then of course the three goals fell for Seraing. The most crucial goal came from the foot of Gerald Kilota, who shoots his team to victory in the absolute final minutes. Those are moments for which you play as a football player. Then everyone forgets that you might as well have lost that game or that this and that still has to. Then everyone thinks only one thing: yeah! Unfortunately, there is not much good to say about the Kemphanen. Both the first and second matches end in a goalless draw. Quite disappointing for both the supporters and coach Bob Peeters. He is noticeably angry with his players after the game (and also during) that they don't seem to give everything. That is nevertheless necessary in this competition, especially if you are fighting for promotion. Every point counts, and the fact that they've already dropped four now isn't a good sign.



Now we have been used to that from Westerlo for some time now. The preparation, for example, bears witness to the problem with the Ruff: inconsistency. Although they have been able to hold the block twice well, the offensive engine sometimes runs very well and sometimes very badly. Then you occasionally get nice results with big numbers, but in the end you are nothing if you do not manage to score points consistently. Better to win 1-0 three times than to win 3-0 once and draw twice!
