Right-back Clauss opened the scoring for the "red-yellows", but Kadewere restored the tie by the end of the first half.
"Les Dogues" come after losing in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League final away to London (0-2). Havertz and Pulisic largely decided to qualify for the British. Previously, Gourvennec's students defeated Montpellier (1-0) and drew with Metz (0-0) in Ligue 1. After 25 stages in the current edition of the French championship, Sunday's guests are in the middle of the standings, on the 11th place. With 36 points collected so far, they are only four "lengths" from the European Cup area. Until the return match against Chelsea, Lille still has to play Ligue 1 matches against Lyon, Clermont and St. Etienne.
