Barcelona comes after a disappointing failure. Defeat equivalent to elimination from the Europa League. One of Barcelona's remaining goals at the end of the season has been squandered, so Xavi's side will focus solely on the league. That's where Barca still only hope for second place, with first place largely taken by rivals Real Madrid. The defeat to Frankfurt ended a run of 15 consecutive games without defeat for the Catalans. The Catalans hadn't lost since January, and then there were two extra-time defeats in the Super Cup and Spanish Cup. The last defeat in 90 minutes for Barca was in December, 0-3, in the Champions League. In the league, Barcelona has seven wins in a row. The last points lost were in the city derby, against Espanyol, in a 2-2 draw against the concitadinha. Barca are second at the moment, but tied with Sevilla. And three points above Atletico Madrid. The Cadiz game should be a mere formality. In theory. Because the team at the bottom of the table won't go down without a fight.
