There is still no public welcome at games in LaLiga, although the Valencia supporters will not mind at all. Their favorite club is not doing anything at all this season, and with only two points above the line, they even have to fear relegation.



The loss of Valencia is, of course, the result of last summer's big sell-off. Stars like Dani Parejo, Ferran Torres and Rodrigo Moreno left the orange city, while new coach Javi Gracia was not allowed to spend a cent on the transfer market. Also during this winter transfer period, the board keeps its hand on its purse, so Gracia will have to maintain itself with the current group of players. Gracia showed his dissatisfaction earlier this season, but now seems to have accepted the situation: "At Valencia, we are going through fire for each other, we are ready for the fight." Osasuna is also having a hard time this season. The Pamplona club managed to win only three of its eighteen matches, and are in second to last place in LaLiga with only fifteen points. As far as I know there is no ultimatum yet, but it should be clear that trainer Jagoba Arrasate has to win quickly if he wants to keep his job.



Last weekend, Osasuna fueled his self-confidence by convincingly winning 0-2 at second division Espanyol in the Copa del Rey. "That was exactly what we needed," said Arrasate. The only blemish on this cup victory was the injured out of defender Aridane Hernandez, who joins a long list of absentees. With David Garcia, Chimy Avila, Adrian Lopez and Darko Brasanac, four potential basic players are absent on Thursday evening.
