Swansea - Millwall Prediction, Picks and Taips
In the Liberty Stadium, two unbeaten teams face each other. The most recent game between Millwall and Swansea ended in a draw (1-1). Is there a favorite Saturday?
Swansea City settled childishly with Wycombe Wanderers. The PhD student has so far struggled to participate in the Championship. Swansea was already on a comfortable 2-0 lead after 23 minutes. André Ayew was involved in both goals. The Ghanaian opened the score on a request from Jake Bidwell. A few minutes later it was Ayew who gave the ball hard in front of the goal. Jamal Lowe scored his first goal in the service of Swansea from this cross since he came over from the relegated Wigan Athletic. Swansea dropped way back after the second goal and finished the game with great ease.
Swansea now has seven points from the first three league matches. Freddie Woodman once again kept his goal empty. It is the third clean sheet for the young Englishman who is in his second season as the first goalkeeper of The Swans. Last season, Woodman cleared his goal 12 times, conceding 50 goals in 43 games.
Graham Potter seems to temporarily have access to Viktor Gyökeres. The Swedish striker is allowed to leave Brighton & Hove Albion on a rental basis. Last season Gyökeres played for the German St. Pauli for which he played 28 duels (seven goals). His contract with Brighton will run through the summer of 2022.
Millwall took the fifth point of the current season last weekend. At The Den, The Lions shared the points with fellow townsman Brentford. The London teams kept each other exactly in balance with a 1-1 draw. Jed Wallace headed in the 1-0 early on a pass from Mason Bennett. The attacker came over from Derby County last winter and has already received two assists to his name in the first three games this season. The tight lead was not on the scoreboard for long. Within fifteen minutes Brentford equalized from the penalty spot. Shaun Hutchinson committed a foul in his own box and that was punished with a penalty kick.
Supposedly, the game remained at a 1-1 tie and so Millwall is still unbeaten in the Championship. It is striking that The Lions only found the net twice in the first three league matches. Last season, Millwall scored 57 goals in 46 games. The London club finished eighth, but had the lowest goal scoring of the top sixteen clubs in England's second division.
Troy Parrott will again not be there on Saturday afternoon. The Spurs mercenary was injured in the game with Burnley and has still not fully recovered. Shane Ferguson will return. The midfielder with 203 games for Millwall to his name became a father last weekend and therefore missed the game with Brentford.
