On Friday evening, Go Ahead Eagles and Jong FC Utrecht will compete against each other in the sixth round of the Kitchen Champion Division. Go Ahead Eagles hopes to connect with the sub-top, while the Utrecht reserves want to distance themselves from the lower echelons.

Afgelopen weekend wachtte Jong FC Utrecht een uitwedstrijd tegen SC Cambuur, dat dankzij enkele mindere resultaten toch wat uit vorm leek. Er gingen geluiden dat het duel niet door zou gaan vanwege coronagevallen aan de kant van Cambuur, maar dit bleek niet het geval. De Domstedelingen kwamen vlak voor rust op een 0-2 achterstand dankzij een dubbelslag van Issa Kallon. Cambuur liep na rust uit naar een 4-0 voorsprong en zou de wedstrijd uiteindelijk comfortabel met 5-2 winnen.
