Lierse K. - Seraing Prediction, Picks and Taips
Lierse is unexpectedly in second place after four match days. After all, in the beginning it was seen as a bastard of the competition. Seraing was also not too much expected, but they have shown that they can play nice football. So an interesting final poster awaits us on match day five.
At Lierse they are probably very satisfied with the seven out of twelve they achieved. With this core, no one expected them to win twice and only lose once in their first four games. That loss (against Lommel) was very unfortunate, because Lierse had to accept a penalty in the very last minute. They certainly deserved a point that day on the Lommel field, but that's how football works.
Lierse played very well from within the organization against Club NXT. You can clearly see that Tom Van Imschoot is quietly letting the team play more and more to his will. The first goal came fairly quickly through Jo Gilis, who finished nicely. Although Lierse was playing well, the Club kids showed their resilience and tied the score through Thibo Baeten. In the second half, however, Lierse came back deservedly on the lead via a shot from Ayoub Allach. He immediately signed for the final score, even though it could have looked different: Gillis took a header from the line of Club goalkeeper Senne Lammens in the last minute, who again kept an excellent game and almost even gave his team a point.
In the first four games, Seraing showed what it stands for: playing good and beautiful football. That the results are not always good, is therefore not so bad. They do not aspire to promotion anyway and apparently they do not have to fear relegation. Then it is better to try to bring out your best football freely and freely, and they are doing that cum laude so far.
Seraing played a hell of a match against Union, the title contender par excellence. To clear a 2-0 deficit against Union on the move, you can only be impressed. Georges Mikautadze was again good for a goal. That is now his sixth goal of the season. If he continues like this, a lot of records will be broken. Too bad, but unfortunately Aron Sigurdarson was in top form and managed to make a hat-trick, to actually give Union the three points.
