AS Roma - Fiorentina Prediction, Picks and Taips

Fiorentina has been played for some time but did manage to take a point against Inter this week. AS Roma badly needs the points to stay ahead of AC Milan and has been warned.

AS Roma has been in fifth place for fourteen rounds in a row. It has been known for some time that Champions League football is no longer feasible, so the goal for the last three games of the season is to finish fifth. The only remaining competitor is AC Milan, which has not lost a single game since the resumption and has recorded a victory in the previous three rounds. At the start of this round, Roma has a two-point lead over the Rossoneri and cannot afford a mistake, especially considering they still have to play against Juventus. Last Wednesday, AS Roma had a nice snack on the program, it had to go to Ferrara. There, a 1-6 win was booked on the already relegated SPAL. 22-year-old loan striker Carles Perez - who will be bought from Barcelona next summer - made his first league goal in the shirt of Roma, in addition Nicolo Zanioli scored who is back from a minor injury. The most notable goalscorer, however, was Bruno Peres. The defender returning from a loan to Sao Paulo scored twice in one game while scoring just eight goals in total in his previous 125 games in Italy.

Fiorentina does not play for anything anymore but is unbeaten six games in a row. There was a draw against Cagliari, Verona and Inter and they won against Parma, Torino and Lecce. The team of Giuseppe Iachini is currently eleventh and can finish ninth at a good end of the season, but could also finish sixteenth in a bad series. Either way, the year has been a lot better than last season, when Fio had to watch out for relegation to the end, finishing just three points above the mark. However, the big plans that owner Rocco Commisso had with the club seem to take longer. The Viola finished in fourth or fifth place for four seasons in a row between 2012 and 2016 and seemed to become a fixture in the left row. The following two seasons, Fiorentina again competed for the European spots but finished eighth. Since last year, the club from Florence has become a regular mid-engine. This despite attracting players like Martin Caceres, the now hired Kevin-Prince Boateng, Erick Pulgar and star Franck Ribery in the last transfer summer and the retention of top talents Federico Chiesa and Nikola Milenkovic.
