Verona - Atalanta Prediction, Picks and Taips

Hellas Verona has not won four games in a row and has since dropped out in the race for European football. This weekend also seems to be a victory, because Atalanta has been unbeaten since January 20 and scores on the assembly line.

Verona was a serious contender in the European places for the interruption, when they were even in seventh place for a while. The first game in June was won 2-1 against Cagliari and so Hellas seemed to stay in the race, since then only one of the seven games ended in a win. Last Wednesday Verona visited AS Roma, but again this time there was no success for Ivan Juric's men. Miguel Veloso gave away an early penalty kick from which Jordan Veretout made it 1-0. Before half-time, Roma increased the score to 2-0 and seemed to have already played the game as Verona did not receive a single shot in the entire half. In the second half, the Gialloblu had a lot more to bring in and the connection goal fell early, Matteo Pessina made his third in the last six games. There were some chances on both sides but Roma kept control of the game and finished 2-1.

The goal machine from Gian Piero Gasperini is also running at full speed after the corona break. After the 2-2 draw at Juventus, where Atalanta might have earned more, a resounding 6-2 victory over Brescia followed on Tuesday. Mario Pasalic opened the score in the second minute with a simple slider, eventually crowning himself man of the match with three hits. The most beautiful of the six, however, came from the foot of Marten de Roon who turned a cross directly with the outside right in the far corner. The only player from the selection that was missing this game was Luis Muriel, who slipped by a pool and suffered a head injury. It is therefore questionable whether the goal getter (four goals in the last 147 playing minutes) will come into action this weekend. Atalanta is now on 93 hits, the current goals record of Napoli (94 pieces in 2016/2017) will easily be broken with six games to play. In addition to a goal record and club record in terms of number of points achieved, there is still a lot of beauty for Bergamo next month, when they play in the Champions League against Paris Saint Germain.
