Chelsea - Norwich Prediction, Picks and Taips

The last mid-week round of this season in the Premier League starts Tuesday evening at Stamford Bridge. In-house Frank Lampard's Chelsea is visited by the already degraded Norwich City. Both teams lost their league game on Saturday and therefore have something to put right.

On Monday morning, it was announced that Manchester City will be active in Europe next season. That's bad news for clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United and Leicester City, as it also means that fifth place in the Premier League is unlikely to entitle Champions League football anymore. Chelsea and Leicester City in particular will be concerned because these two teams have not been doing well lately. Chelsea is still in the top-4 of the Premier League, but it still has two tough games ahead. The last two league matches for The Blues are against Liverpool (away) and Wolverhampton (home). Luckily for Lampard, a lowflyer is visiting London this week with Norwich City. After Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Sheffield United they have some things to do at Chelsea. The Blues played a hopeless game on Bramall Lane and the 3-0 final score was hard to negotiate. The good thing for Chelsea is that Tuesday evening with Norwich City, the poorly performing Premier League team will visit. Three points are crucial for The Blues if they want to play in the Champions League next season.

Norwich City, like Chelsea, experienced a Saturday to quickly forget. The Canaries theoretically had another chance last weekend to escape relegation. West Ham United had to be won, but Daniel Farke already indicated before the game that Norwich City had relegated to relegation. That also turned out in practice: Norwich played a very bad game and lost 0-4 to West Ham United. It was a game to quickly forget for the relegant. With away games at Chelsea and Manchester City still in the offing, it is not impossible that Norwich City will face two major losses in the coming period. They've lost eight games in a row at Norwich City and the season can't be over soon enough for The Canaries. Frankly, Norwich City seems to have little to do with the Championship with the current selection. At least, with this team Farke will not compete for a promotion place next season. However, that is for later concern. At Norwich they are first ready for a holiday.
